What does ‘Camping’ mean?
Pack 9331 typically does two optional family campouts per year. Once in early fall and the other in late spring. When we camp out, we mostly use tents though scouts can use hammocks and rain covers if they want. We cook food over camp stoves, firepits or grills. We work to accommodate families that require electricity. The pack can also offer camping equipment if you do don’t have your own. Some scouts just join us for the day activities and then leave at dusk. We typically require at least one guardian go camping for each family’s scouts.
It’s OK if you’ve never been camping, the Pack is required to have leaders that have BALOO (Basic Adult Leadership Outdoor Orientation) training attend any campout to make sure camping is safe and fun for all attending.
When do we meet?
We meeting the 2nd and 4th Mondays from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM during most months in the School year. We also have 1 optional monthly event in the summer. We meet at Five Hawks Elementary School located at 16620 Five Hawks Ave SE. Prior Lake MN. Check the calendar page to confirm any event you would like to attend.
Why Should I join Pack 9331
Pack 9331 is a pack with a long history. It’s based out of Five Hawks Elementary and takes students from several elementary schools in Prior Lake/Savage District 719. We have a great team of leaders that strive to make sure cub scouts have fun, learn and develop into their very best future selves!
It is also the only pack in the district that meets on Monday nights.
How much does it cost?
The program has an annual registration fee, basic uniform costs and costs for individual events and activities. Pack 9331 believes all kids should have the opportunity to participate in scouting regardless of finances and can help with Membership Assistance, Uniform Assistance and Camperships. We also offer fundraising opportunities.
